Stephen Gardner's biography
After leaving Rangitoto college in 2003, Stephen went on to achieve his
real estate salesperson license, making him one of New Zealand’s youngest
people to achieve this qualification. After a brief spell in the Real
Estate game, Stephen decided to get out and see the world, which saw him
travelling through Europe alongside long-time friend (and business partner,
Co-Director of Customclothing.co.nz) Leon Di Cesare, snowboarding and
experiencing a whole different lifestyle and culture.
When he returned, Stephen went into the communications industry, spending
2 years on the Technical helpdesk at New Zealand owned communication
company Orcon Internet. Whilst there he was made 2IC for the helpdesk,
undertaking more leadership responsibilities for his team, dealing with
more in-depth customer queries including customer complaint resolution.
From there, Stephen moved in the Business Campaign team at Vodafone,
specialising in customer acquisition and retention in the small-to-medium
business sector. Stephen excelled in this role, achieving top sales
results on a consistent basis.
The beginning of 2009 saw Stephen moving to a business-to-business sales
role for start up company Intagr8, utilising his sales knowledge as well
as his experience with dealing with small to medium businesses.
Stephen brings a lot of creativity to Customclothing.co.nz, assisting in
the design process for clients, and also with generating new business for
the company.
He has a great passion for most things creative; Music and stencil
art most specifically. He also enjoys Snowboarding, and currently plays at
representative level for Laserforce, co-captaining the team that won the
Australian/New Zealand nationals tournament in 2008.

Leon Di Cesare's biography
Finishing up with High School in 2003 at Rangitoto College, Leon went
into full time work with the goal of saving enough money to spend a few
months through Europe with long time school friend Stephen (co-director
of CustomClothing.co.nz). This was promptly achieved and through the end
of 2004 and the start of 2005 lots of time was spent travelling through
Europe, skiing in the Dolomites and catching up with extended family
through the Abruzzo region in Italy.
After coming back from Europe, Leon looked to the future and joined
Vodafone in 2005. He spent a year in the Customer Service team before
moving to the Business Campaign team.
Here Leon excelled in his role and won numerous top performer awards,
including two Vodafone's Legend nominations and a quarterly award across
the wider team. His passion for exceeding expectations and providing
mind blowing customer service has seen him rated in the top 3% of
employees at Vodafone.
In 2009 looking for a new challenge Leon moved into the Vodafone
Campaign Management team, which is the important link between Marketing
and front line Sales, and took on the responsibility of Campaign
Deployment across all of Vodafone's Business channels and customer
segments. Leon has a keen eye for detail and on top of his Customer
Service and Sales skill sets, he was able to develop and leverage his
planning, forecasting, numeracy and technical skills to provide
excellent results and keep all of his stakeholders fully engaged and
excited about opportunities in their respective areas.
These range of skills naturally help Leon with providing valuable
insight with the Marketing and Sales direction for CustomClothing.co.nz,
as well as being responsible for the financial accounts.
Leon is a basketball enthusiast, having played throughout his life for
various school and representative teams, and has a special spot in his
heart for the Chicago Bulls.
